Most of the nail polish bottles lined up in your bathroom have a toxic secret; they’re the host of many chemicals. We are all familiar with the unpleasant smell of nail polish, but did you ever stop and think about all the chemicals involved?
Today I am sharing with you a brand which I absolutely love. Sienna Byron Bay. They create nail polish colours that reflect the beautiful environment we live in. From bright blues and hues to soft pastels and metallics, they have every colour you could ever dream of.
Sienna Byron Bay strive to be as eco-friendly as possible during the entire production process. The components of their nail polishes are vegan and cruelty-free while being a healthy and clean alternative to the chemical-ridden nail polishes on the market. The timber cap used is from a non-native tree removed for forest sustainability and rejuvenation reasons which are hand-picked for its grain and colour qualities. The only aspect of Sienna nail polishes that are from outside Australia is the gorgeous vintage style glass bottles imported from Europe.
What does 7-free mean?
Sienna Byron Bay is ‘7-free’. In case you were wondering, ‘7-free’ means that the nail polish does not contain any of the most common chemicals found in nail polish. These are:
- Dibutyl Phthalate
- Formaldehyde Resin
- Ethyl Tosylamide
- Vegan Action
- Australian Made
- Choose Cruelty-Free Australia
I have been using and testing 3 of the colours from Sienna Byron Bay’s (massive) range for a while now. Not only are they smooth to apply, but the smell is much better than conventional nail polishes and the pigment is strong. It is fantastic to know that there are low tox nail polish options out there and that Sienna Byron Bay is paving the way for this.
